Petra Martic vs Danielle Collins Preview and Prediction Grand Slam. Wimbledon Friday , 5 July , 2019

Petra Martic: results and record

Ranking no. 24 (high career), Martic went up to round 3 after beating Jennifer Brady 3-6 6-3 6-4 and Anastasia Potapova 3-6 6-3 6-4.

The best result of the season was winning the title in Istanbul where he defeated Marketa Vondrousova in the final 1-6 6-4 6-1.

Petra has a 23-9 win-loss record in 2019, 5-1

Last year at Wimbledon

Petra lost in the first round 7-60 2-6 6-3 from Ekaterina Makarova.

Danielle Rose Collins: results and record

Ranking no. 34, the American advanced to the 3rd round after beating Zarina Diyas 6-3 7-5 and Anastasija Sevastova 4-6 6-4 6-3.

Collins's best results this season are reaching the semi-finals in Melbourne.

Danielle has a 17-12 win-loss record in 2019, 2-1

Last year at Wimbledon

Collins lost in the first round 6-3 6-2 to Elise Mertens.

Petra Martic did not have an easy road to the third round. With an identical match score, 3-6 6-3 6-4, Croatia needed a long time in court to beat Jen Brady in the opener and Anastasia Potapova in the second round. Martic was able to fight back from set down in every match. But I don't think Martic can start slowly against a passionate Danielle Collins. America will start strong and will be Martic's toughest opponent. There will be some shifting momentum throughout, but I see Danielle Collins punching her ticket for the fourth round.

Prediction: Collins: 3
