Fulham condemned fellow team who were relegated Huddersfield due to another defeat on Friday night. While they dealt a big blow to their rivals, the Cottagers have now reached their second step. Their strong start has made them the favorite for this meeting with Millwall, while we think this is the perfect opportunity for Scott Parker's team to prove themselves. With many talents supporting them, we sided with the hosts, while Aleksandar Mitrovic could prove crucial for the third match in a row.
Fulham won 2-1 at Huddersfield to make it two wins out of three for newly relegated teams. The hosts may be surprised by Barnsley in their opening match, but things have happened since then. Scott Parker has been given a strong side to lead back to the top flight, while he has made the initial step in talent to produce impressive attack settings. Ivan Cavaleiro, Anthony Knockaert and Bobby Reid are all proficient in providing support for the forward, who helped Fulham continue the attacking style that got them promoted in 2018.
Millwall had an unbeaten start behind them, but could they stretch it to this London derby? They have lost three direct encounters with Fulham, because the Cottagers have come out of the 7-1 clash in aggregate. Following 15 defeats in 23 away games last season, we don't think Millwall has what it takes to reverse that bad record. Last season they lost in four of the top five, conceded 11 times and scored six times. The clash might be entertaining, but it didn't work for the Lions.

They recorded consecutive wins to keep their season going and going, scoring two goals in each match. When Fulham are up 83% of their home games they see at least two goals, while their quality in attack must see them break through the Lions. They might need to score a pair, considering that Millwall has scored exactly one goal in each of their three matches so far. That makes us lean towards goals in this one, so we support Fulham to win and more than 1.5 goals in matches.
Fulham player Aleksandar Mitrovic, who has scored in his last two league appearances, has scored 14 goals in just 21 matches for Fulham at the Championship, scoring the last goal in three consecutive matches in the competition in April 2018, a match which included a goal against Millwall. The striker has been built as the main goal threat in this division, with his last two matches will prove it. We expect another big impact from the former Newcastle forward. He has scored seven goals in Fulham's last nine home matches at this level, so we support Mitrovic to score on Wednesday night.

They looked very bright, calm, dangerous and were awarded the final goal from Portugal winger Ivan Cavaliero. Steven Sessegnon finally made his debut at right-back and did a very good job.
Millwall will focus on counterattacks, as they have done to West Brom. In that match, WBA controlled 72% of the ball.
