Argentina vs Germany -Davis Cup Finals Preview & Prediction Match Betting Tips

Argentina

Team nominations: Schwartzman Diego, Guido Pella, Leonardo Mayer, Máximo González and Horacio Zeballos.

After defeating Colombia in the relegation playoffs last year, Argentina received a wild card for the 2019 Davis Cup Final.

South American powerhouse has not made it past the group stage since his 2016 Davis Cup title.

For this year's edition, the Argentine national team has a very good mix of experienced players.

This list is led by two-time Slam quarter Schwartzman Diego, No. 15 in singles ATP ranking.

Doubles specialist Horacio Zeballos and Máximo González joined by Guido Pella and veteran Leonardo Mayer.

Schwartzman came from another strong season, having reached the quarter-finals of the US Open for the second time in three years.

The team also has three very good doubles player in Zeballos, González and Mayer.

Zeballos reached a career-best No. 3 in the ATP rankings this year and was runner-up in last month's US Open.

Argentina has a very strong list and balanced and is a potential candidate for the title of underdog.

German

Team nominations: Jan-Lennard struff, Philipp Kohlschreiber, Dominik Koepfer, Kevin Krawietz, Andreas Mies.

German national team will not have a top player, Alexander Zverev.

Three-time Masters 1000 champion and former top three player decides to withdraw from the competition.

Zverev has become a vocal critic of the new Davis Cup format and choose not to participate in this year's final.

As a result, the list is headed by the reigning French Open doubles champions Andreas Mies and Kevin Krawietz.

Veteran Jan-Lennard struff and Philipp Kohlscreiber join the regular ATP Challenger singles Dominik Kopefer.

Prediction

Guido Pella prove that he is not far from Diego Schwartzman as he beat Nicolas Jarry to compliment victory over compatriot Cristian Garin, and they can take on Argentina away in this competition. Germany struff have a decent chance of beating one of them, while the German doubles partner Krawietz and Mies should come away with a win in their match-up, albeit against the world number four doubles player Horacio Zeballos. In the end, though, Argentina had more than their opponents in singles here and have made it two wins out of two for progress.
